Green beans

I planted green beans on May 26. I don't recall the variety (I'm bad, I know), but they're a very compact, bush plant.

Some pretty sizeable beans by July 11


Harvested the first batch today — July 14

I'll saute them tonight with butter and salt.

    I love picking beans - more even than eating them, I think. I suppose it's because it's one of the things I used to do with my Dad as a kid, when he still cared about the garden.
    Definitely one of the things I want to grow again as soon as I have a balcony of my own.

    Beautiful. I have some Heirloom and Tricolor variety Bush Beans. They have flowers now, just waiting for the beans!
